在天使女伶(Celtic Woman，舊譯「美麗人聲」)獲得全球性的廣大成功後，製作團隊要組成男性版天使女伶的傳聞一直沒有停息過。 這個傳說中的團體已正式成立，團名定為「The High Kings」。
不過這篇文章倒不是在介紹「The High Kings」，而是Decca公司效法天使女伶的模式而打造的「Celtic Thunder」。在電視特輯播出之後，他們已於今年(2008)年三月18日發行同名專輯與DVD(美國版)。
Celtic Thunder (居爾特男伶 / 王者之聲) 由五位男歌手組成，團員陣容包含Damian McGinty (14歲)、Keith Harkin(21歲)、Ryan Kelly (28歲)、Paul Byrom (29歲)與George Donalson (40歲)。雖然同樣是以愛爾蘭傳統音樂為基調，但他們的曲風與師姐「天使女伶」略有不同。個人的感覺是加入較多現代音樂的節奏與電子伴奏，古典音樂的成份也大為減少。
不知道他們的模仿會不會締造如同「天使女伶」的輝煌成績？且讓我們拭目以待。
